Finding Passionate Topics For Your Content MarketingYour readers' needs may be in sync with your passion or needs. You can take advantage of this to direct them to their next destination or niche and broaden your reach. One key thing you can do is to find the next topic that fits well within your readers' needs.
I'm a fan of thinking in terms of keywords, but even if you aren't the kind of person who read your text without scanning it for words, let's assume you do. We'll assume you are using keyword optimization for Google or Yahoo. Maybe your business is in the publishing field. What you will want to do is measure how much you have to write about and how long you need to write the same exact article for word count. In other words, use your in-house expertise and experience in this domain to help narrow down your topic. In my own marketing, I've learned that if I am writing on something that I know about, it only makes sense to focus my content around those things. In other words, if you're an expert in affiliate marketing, why write about internet marketing? The reason for this is that when you decide to write about something you don't know enough about, it makes it difficult to create interest in your topic. If you write about affiliate marketing, your readers won't really care if you are good at it or not. They would much rather have you talk about what they do care about: products and niches in their area of expertise. So, I always tell my clients to go deeper on a niche that has a better rate of return. If you choose your topic by rank, it's like choosing a jacket by style: a formal one might look good on you, but it may not look good on everyone else. Give people some cool, unique information. Then you have made a good choice and you have great chances of having your audience continue to buy the things you sell as long as you offer a niche that doesn't get pushed out of the market by the next big thing. This is just one way of maximizing your business. You may choose to focus more on a specific industry, but it's best to not only find the passion, but also focus on giving value to your readers. Having a quality product for people to buy is a good thing but if you can't give value and deliver valuable information, you may lose your customers fast. So, you have to remember, that your customers are what keep you going and they don't come easily. One thing I recommend you try out: make your title or headline something that gets your readers excited and anticipating your article or sales page. Why not give them some free content and/or freebies so they will come back for more?
